Ferrari s Website Celebrates Italy s 150th Anniversary with Special Wallpaper

Internet users visiting Ferrari"s official website today were greeted by a modified home page with a special wallpaper featuring a green FF, a white 458 Italia and this year"s F1 race car in red, which combine to make a motoring version of the Italian flag. This is Ferrari"s online way of celebrating the 150th anniversary of Italy"s unification. In addition, the automaker said that the window displays in the forty Ferrari Stores spread around the globe were decked out in the colors of the Italian flag. "Representing Italy on the race tracks and the car markets around the world is a reason for all the men and women who work at Ferrari to feel proud, " commented Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo.

Amari Design Crafts Supercharged Bentley Continental GT with 760-Horsepower

A new company in the tuning scene called Amari Design has presented its take on the Bentley Continental GT through the release of two teaser photos. The UK-based firm"s upgrade package includes a body kit, interior revisions and a variety of modifications under the hood. By adding a supercharger, a sports exhaust system and a new ECU, Amani Design says output is lifted to 750-horsepower. The car also rides on beefier alloy wheels and tires, though the tuner has not yet released specific details. Exterior modifications include a new bodykit with a front bumper, lip spoiler, hood, fenders, side skirts, quarter panel extensions, rear bumper with a carbon fiber diffuser and a fixed boot spoiler.

Nissan Joins Forces with Signature to Compete in the Le Mans Cup with a V8 Prototype

Nissan has entered a new two-year partnership with the French-based Signature Group racing team to field an open-cockpit LMP2-class sports car prototype in the new Intercontinental Le Mans Cup (ILMC). As part of the deal, Nissan"s Performance and Motorsports division, NISMO, will provide 3.4-liter racing versions of the its VK series of V8 engines, which can be found under the hood of the Titan, Armada and Pathfinder models. The Japanese company said the Signatech Nissan racing team will compete in the entire 2011 season of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup (ILMC) series. The LMP2 racer will be driven by a pair of Frenchmen, 40-year-old open-wheel and sports car veteran Soheil Ayari and 25-year-old F3 and Le Mans Series racer Franck Mailleux, along with 25-year-old Spaniard Lucas Ordo?

Arden gets its hands on the New Range Rover Evoque, Creates the 270HP AR8 City-Roader

We"re still a few months away from the market launch of the all-new 2012 Range Rover Evoque, but the tuning folks over at Arden have already unwrapped their plans for the British firm"s "baby" SUV model. Named the Arden AR8 City-Roader, the German firm"s take on the Evoque includes a number of cosmetic enhancements and performance modifications. The aero kit spiffs up the Evoque"s exterior with a new front apron, side skirts that can be optionally illuminated, a rear apron and a roof spoiler. A pair of bespoke tail pipes and larger, multispoke alloy wheels shod in performance tires will also be part of the AR8 package, while interior mods for the time being are limited to audio, multimedia and security systems.
